10th March 1955 Fiat debuted the new 600 at the Geneva Motorshow, at the same time over Italy's major city as well as in Paris and Munich swarms of the small car invaded the streets causing stir among the public and press.
Since late 1954 the Mirafiori factory was producing the 600 at full steam anticipating the demand and some chassis were handed to the Carrozzieri to further increase exposure at the show.
Viotti presented the Boano designed 600 Coupé. It was very welcome and chosen as the base for the Abarth derivazione 750 presented in the 1956 Turin show. Zagato for racing Viotti for the road.
From the estimate of 100 units built, seventy years later 23 cars are known survivors (in some cases their condition and destiny is still in great peril) and less then 10 on the road.
